A Catholic college in Australia has been pressured to cowl up an embarrassing new statue of a saint giving a baby bread.

Blackfriars principal Simon Cobiac stated: “The sculpture is a well-known depiction of the tireless work of St Martin de Porres, a Dominican brother, for the poor and downtrodden of the 16th century.

“The 2-dimensional idea plans for the statue have been seen and authorised by the chief group in Could however upon arrival the three-dimensional statue was deemed by the chief to be probably suggestive.

“As a consequence, the statue was instantly coated and an area sculptor has been commissioned to re-design it.”‘
